Following recommendations made by the Internal Audit Service concerning, inter alia, the need to clarify the governance of the CHIS, modifications were approved by the Director-General following examination at the Standing Concertation Committee meeting on 10 April 2014.
The new rules will enter into force on 1 June 2014 and are available on the intranet site of the CHIS: http://cern.ch/chis/doc/Rules2014F.pdf
The new rules provide for the involvement of three entities in the governance of the CHIS: an Administrator, a Strategic Advisor and a joint body (the CHIS-Board) all appointed by the Director-General. The CHIS-Board will be composed of four members appointed by the Director-General, including the Administrator, and four members appointed by the Staff Association. The Strategic Advisor will preside over the CHIS-Board.
