When the CERN site closes its doors on 22 December for the end-of-year closure, CERN Science Gateway will remain open for you to enjoy with your friends and family.

CERN Science Gateway exhibitions will be welcoming visitors for most of the winter break, from Tuesday to Sunday, 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m., closing only on 24, 25 and 31 December and 1, 6 and 7 January.

Families and individuals can arrive on the day and book activities on the spot (groups of 12 or more need to book visits several months in advance). Explore the exhibitions, the Big Bang Café and the CERN shop. Note that during December CERN personnel receive a 10% discount at the CERN shop when showing their CERN access card.

CERN Science Gateway guides have welcomed more than 40 000 visitors since the centre opened to the public on 8 October. Guide training is still available if you would like to join the team.
