Read journal articles during access restrictions

You would like to read a paper but you are stuck in front of a paywall? The Library can help!

|

Journal articles are crucial to continue carrying out your research. The CERN Library provides access to more than 2,000 e-journals.

To maximize access to online resources in this difficult time, we reached out to some of the key publishers in our domains of interest. Moreover, some publishers spontaneously decided to open some of their resources during the epidemics. Please check here the complete list of the resources available for the CERN community.

If you directly find an article on the web and it is behind a paywall, you can check if we have access to it by adding the prefix: https://ezproxy.cern.ch/login?url= at the beginning of the URL and then reload the page. You can in two clicks install a bookmarklet or browser extension to facilitate the use of EzProxy; more information is available here.

If you still cannot access the article after that, it probably means that we do not have access to it. In this case, you can request it with this form: fill in the details of the article, click on ‘Continue’, choose your name, click on ‘Continue’. We will get it for you and you will receive it within a few days. This service is free of charge.
