Join us for a live demo of InvenioILS and discover the features of this open-source integrated library system! We will cover management of collections, circulation, acquisitions & interlibrary loans, cataloguing and importations of records, user interface/public catalogue, and more. Our two experts, a librarian and a software developer, will answer all of your questions. Whether you are looking for a new library software or just interested in seeing the possibilities offered by the system, this Library Science Talk is for you!
Speakers: Karolina Przerwa and Lydia Pieper
Karolina Przerwa is the Service Manager of the CERN Library Catalogue Application. She is responsible for overseeing both the technical aspects of the software and application service delivery. In addition, she coordinates implementation efforts in collaboration with the broader Invenio open-source community. Over the past seven years, she has worked extensively with open repositories, contributing to their development, integration, and community engagement. Karolina holds a degree in Computer Science from the Warsaw University of Technology.
Lydia Pieper is the Library Resources Coordinator at the CERN Library, where she is in charge of acquisitions, interlibrary loans, user requests, and the bookshop. With four years of experience at CERN, she initially worked in the archives before transitioning to her current role. She holds a degree in Information Science from the Haute École de Gestion (HEG) in Geneva.
